The Final Confrontation – John Paul II

The Final Confrontation – Pope John Paul II

Few people realize or want to realize the gravity of the situation today; we have let ourselves become attached to the things of this world or to the glory before men instead of the eternal things of heaven. Few people realize or want to realize that to ignore or to change the laws of God, for our own priorities and convenience, will have, later, greater consequences than an atomic bomb. It is much easier and more gratifying to be “politically correct”. “Ignorance Is Bliss!” (http://spir-food.blogspot.it/2016/06/ignorance-is-bliss.html). “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away” (Mk 31:31). “Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the law until all is accomplished” (Mt 5:17-18; 24,35).

On November 11, 2013, Archbishop Carlo Maria ViganĂ², the Apostolic Nuncio (Papal Ambassador) to the United States, addressed the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops at their annual fall meeting in Baltimore, Maryland.
Archbishop ViganĂ² quoted as “profoundly prophetic” remarks made by Blessed John Paul II (then Cardinal Wojtyla) during the Eucharistic Congress on Aug. 13, 1976 for the Bicentennial celebration of the signing of our Declaration of Independence:
We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has ever experienced. I do not think that the wide circle of the American Society, or the whole wide circle of the Christian Community realize this fully. We are now facing the FINAL CONFRONTATION between the Church and the anti-church, between the gospel and the anti-gospel, between Christ and the antichrist. The confrontation lies within the plans of Divine Providence. It is, therefore, in God's Plan, and it must be a trial which the Church must take up, and face courageously….” (Cardinal Ivan Dias also quoted this at Lourdes, France, on December 13, 2007).
Archbishop ViganĂ² said that he viewed these words “as a call to attentiveness, watchfulness and preparedness for whatever proclaiming the Gospel may mean for us as successors of the Apostles, who were called to give radical witness to their faith in Jesus Christ.”

Pope John Paul II said to a group of pilgrims in Fulda, West Germany, in November 1980, speaking about the secrets of Fatima, that: “We have to be prepared to suffer, before long, great trials which will require of us the disposition to sacrifice even our life for Christ. Through your prayers and mine, it is still possible to diminish this trial (predicted at Fatima), but it is no longer possible to avert it, because only in this manner can the Church be effectively renewed. How many times has the renewal of the Church been brought about in blood! It will not be different this time.” (http://www.fatima.org/thirdsecret/fulda.asp).

We remember the dramatic words pronounced by Pope Paul VI on June 29 1972, after the Second Vatican Council, denouncing that “By some fissure the smoke of Satan has entered into the temple of God… One no longer trusts the Church; so many trust in the first profane prophet, who speaks to us in a magazine or in some social slogans, in order to run after him and ask him if he has the formula of true life. And we do not realize instead that we have already become lords and teachers. Doubt has entered our consciences, and it has entered through the windows which were meant to have been opened to the light. This state of uncertainty reigns even in the Church. It was hoped that after the Council there would be a day of sunlight in the history of the Church. Instead, there came a day of clouds, of darkness, of groping, of uncertainty…” (http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/paul_vi/homilies/1972/documents/hf_p-vi_hom_19720629_it.html).

A few months before Pope Paul VI died, on September 8, 1977, he confirmed this grave judgment in a conversation with Jean Guitton. Here are the words of Paul VI recounted by the French philosopher:
"There is a great disturbance at this moment in the world and in the Church, and what is in question is the faith. It happens now that I find myself repeating the obscure saying of Jesus in the Gospel of Saint Luke: 'When the Son of man returns, will he find faith on the earth?' It happens that books are published in which important points of the faith are undermined, that the bishops are silent, that these books are not found to be strange. This, according to me, is strange. I read again every once in a while the Gospel of the end times and I realize that in this moment there is emerging some signs of the end times. Are we near the end? This we will never know. It is necessary to always be ready, but everything can still last quite a while. What strikes me, when I consider the Catholic world, is that a non-Catholic type of thought seems to predominate sometimes within Catholicism, and this non-Catholic thought might become the stronger one within Catholicism in the future. But it will never represent the thought of the Church. A small flock must remain, however small it may be." (http://chiesa.espresso.repubblica.it/articolo/23572?).

There is less prayer than ever before, more sin than ever before, even worse, indifference as if sin no longer exists, and so we have given much greater power to “the father of lies”, Satan (Jn 8:44). In particular Satan has more power to “disguise himself as an angel of light” (2Cor 11:14), to offer his very deadly beautiful lies as if they were the “truth that sets us free” (Jn 8:32)!
Thus it is very important in these times of great confusion, when even Catholic bishops are no longer in agreement about the fundamentals of our faith and morals, to not only pray much and to study the Catechism of the Catholic Church for adults, but to keep our eyes open so as not to fall into the beautiful lies of Satan presented as if they were the Truth!

The Abomination of Desolation

The Abomination of Desolation

Dear friends,
On April 23, 2018, when attempting to make a new post in a Facebook group, for the first time ever, suddenly while posting, I received the following message:
Action Blocked
- You're temporarily restricted from joining and posting to groups that you do not manage until Thursday at 12:39am. (which is exactly 3 days later)
- If you think you're seeing this by mistake, please let us know.

Recently the same thing happened to a friend of mine, after trying to join a group supporting baby Alfie Evans. I have discovered that this temporary restriction also happens when you do not join certain groups in which you are invited by certain “friends” which you subsequently “unfriend”. This same strategy is used internationally by giving money (stolen from us in an underhanded ways – banks, printing money, inflation, deflation, etc.) to groups that promote the culture of death and obstructing, in many ways, the groups that promote the culture of life. As the New World Order becomes more and more heavy handed, their techniques will become more and more out in the open and dictatorial. When they finally arrive to the final stage, the NWO will make Hitler’s dictatorship seem like a picnic, foretold by Christ (Mt 24:21)!

Were the saints politically correct as are many religious leaders today? Did the saints take the great risk to seek to warn the sheep of the hidden powerful traps of the wolf, in their particular time and history, that leads a great number of souls to eternal destruction? Were the saints “ALL DUMB DOGS, THAT CANNOT BARK” (Is 56:10) like so many priests and bishops today?!? Why were most of the prophets of the Old Testament killed, along with our Savior Jesus Christ? How many people or groups or religious congregations today do as the saints, or as a courageous nun like Mother Angelica (1923 – 2016) who was ready to lose even her television network, EWTN, so as not to betray or compromise the Eternal Truth, Jesus Christ (Jn 14:6), so as to maintain the proper priorities, in particular, the salvation of souls?!? Just as all the saints, Mother Angelica was not attached to the glory before men (Lk 16:15; 6:26; Jn 5:44; 12,39-43; Mt 6:1-6. 16-18)! “Martyrdom is a witness which all Christians must be willing to make” – Pope John Paul II.

Before “the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of perdition … only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed…” (2Thess 2:3-8). Above all what is “RESTRAINING” the “man of lawlessness” is the presence of Jesus Christ as the Truth (Jn 14:6) and especially His real presence in the Most Holy Eucharist of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass; Satan seeks to trivialize both so as to deprive us of God’s guidance and His powerful protection and help. Before the manifestation of the Antichrist, “the continual burnt offering” (Dan 8:11; 12:11), will be taken away, and the “sacrifice and offering” will cease (Dan 9:27), which Jesus foretold (Mt 24:15). This sacrilege is the ultimate “ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION” (Mt 24:15; Mk 13:14; 2Thess 2:3-4; Dan 9:27; 11:31; 12:11)!

Dear friends, I was hoping to talk about these serous things more gradually. “Satan disguises himself as an angel of light” (2Cor 11:14). “Be wise as serpents and innocent as doves” (Mt 10:16).
This deception, this lose of the Eucharist, “the source and summit of the Christian life” (Vat. II: LG 11; CCC 1324), is being done slowly and in such a way that as few Catholics as possible will realize the lose of our greatest treasure and strength on earth, the real sacramental presence of Jesus Christ. The focus of attention has been intentionally shifted from adoration of God to man as the center of the Liturgy. Even fewer Catholics know the four conditions necessary for a valid Mass. None of this could happen if the priests and bishops of the Catholic Church would obey the Liturgical Books of the Catholic Church; Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict ordered the founders of the Neocatecumenal Way to obey the Liturgical Books but they refused obey (http://spir-food.blogspot.it/2015/02/the-neocatecumenal-mass.html).
The Sacrifice of the Mass renews that which was accomplished by Jesus on Calvary. By accepting the Protestant doctrine, people will hold that the Mass is not a sacrifice but only a sacred meal, that is to say, a remembrance of that which Jesus did at his Last Supper. And thus, the celebration of Holy Mass will be suppressed. In this abolition of the daily Sacrifice consists THE HORRIBLE SACRILEGE accomplished by the Antichrist, which will last about three and a half years, namely, one thousand two hundred and ninety days” (December 31, 1992; “To The Priests Our Lady’s Beloved Sons”; http://our-lady-priests.blogspot.it/).
Saint Padre Pio said: "It would be easier for the world to survive without the sun than to do so without the HOLY MASS." This saint also said: “The ROSARY is the weapon for these times”! Stay close to the Sacraments and pass as much time as possible praying the Holy Rosary before the Most Blessed Sacrament while our Eucharistic Lord is still in the tabernacles of our public churches!

Do not despise prophesying” (1Thess 5:20; 1Cor 14:31), as do so many today who think they are intelligent and wise (Mt 11:25; Lk 10:21)! “Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7).

Up to now, I have succeeded in defending myself from hackers entering into my computer. If I am blocked again on Facebook, perhaps for even a longer period of time or even indefinitely, and you do not hear from me and I do not respond to your comments, and you would like to communicate with me or see other articles of mine, go to one of my websites and you will find at least one of my email addresses. If you cannot find one of my websites, you might try putting into Google a few of the following key words: josephdwight, joseph-dwight-index, giuseppedwight, giuseppe-dwight-indice, Father Joseph Dwight, Don Jo (Joseph) Dwight.

All things are possible if we trust Jesus through Mary. We must stay very close to Jesus in the Sacraments and in Eucharistic adoration with Mary’s Holy Rosary in hand. In this way we will become habituated to looking at Jesus through Mary so as to even be able to gratefully embrace the gift of martyrdom (Rev 7:9-17) or to even walk on water, as did Peter (Mt 14:22-33), rather than sinking into the high waves by looking at ourselves or at the great spiritual and temporal storm in the next few years!

In this period of the “great tribulation” (Mt 24:21), “the Church will enter the glory of the kingdom only through this final Passover, when she will follow her Lord in his death and Resurrection” (CCC 677). But “IN THE END MY IMMACULATE HEART WILL TRIUMPH!” - Our Lady of Fatima, Portugal, 1917. There will be fulfilled the Protoevangelium (Gen 3:15) – Saint Louis de Montfort!

The Great Danger of Triumphalism

The Great Danger of Triumphalism

On April 16, 2018, the administrators of the Facebook group ‘One Million Connected Catholics’ did not publish my post: “How many Catholics today could answer simple questions such as the following? … “Who Decides The Truth?” (http://spir-food.blogspot.it/2014/06/who-decides-truth.html). (See below for the complete post.)
In the Description for the group ‘One Million Connected Catholics’, we find: “Dan Burke established One Million Connected Catholics. … You can ALWAYS post things from the National Catholic Register and any EWTN News outlet…”
EWTN’s Raymond Arroyo: ‘Good Catholics’ can’t ignore controversy over Pope Francis”

Satan is pushing many people off the Barque of Peter, the Church, on the “port side” (left side), who do not follow the laws of God infallibly interpreted by the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. But also on the “starboard side” (the right side) of the Barque of Church, there are many who believe they have the “fullness of the truth and means of sanctification” and thus do not feel they need to dialogue with anyone or any group who do not totally agree with themselves, as did the Pharisees and Scribes, and as have done so many people and groups in the Church and outside of the Church throughout the 2000-year history of the Church, especially today in a world and in a Church full of crisis and confusion. It is true that the one true Church, the Catholic Church, has the “fullness of the truth and means of sanctification” (Lumen Gentium, no. 8), but an individual person or an individual group in the Church is not the Magisterium of the Church, and thus does not have the guarantee, the charism of infallibility, to INTERPRET the doctrines of the Church infallibly. This is why the humility to take the risk to dialogue is always necessary, as Pope John Paul II often encouraged us to do. It is so easy to slide back into what the Second Vatican Council sought to eradicate - to bring the Church back to true humility and to eliminate in the Church this TRIUMPHALISM of being the true Church, with the fullness of Truth and the means of sanctification (LG 8) (“Evangelization VS the Trilogy of Devils in the Church: Triumphalism, Clericalism and Juridicalism”; http://trueevangelization.blogspot.com). In the mentality of triumphalism it is very important to maintain the hierarchical structure so as to maintain and to not loose ones importance before men (Jn 5:44; Lk 16:15; Gal 1:10)!

There is a Facebook group, of which I am a part of, called, ‘CATHOLIC AND PROUD’; perhaps a better title would be ‘Catholic and Humble and Grateful’!

The liberals do not realize, or perhaps do not care, that to change the truths, expressed in the doctrines of the Church, will have very great devastating effects both here on earth and after death. In the first centuries of the Church many wars were fought over these precious truths; now few even care about these safeguards of life, liberty and happiness. Very few have their eyes open, on both the left or the right extremes, regarding the disguised beautiful lies presented as if they were the truth, and the half truths which are worse than lies. Saint Thomas Aquinas tells us that virtue lies in the middle between the two extremes which is usually the more difficult path requiring constant maintenance, much patience, discernment and humility.

It is interesting how the two extremes meet: the liberals decide the truth for themselves, in the “Modern Church”, putting aside 2000 years of the illumination of the Holy Spirit written down in the doctrines of the Church, while many “orthodox” people believe they have all the truth and so become complacent and they feel they no longer need to dialogue with those of good will who are not in their group, and thus no longer seek to discover if their INTERPRETATION is the true interpretation of the truth outside of themselves or outside of their group, and thus slide into self sufficiency, spiritual blindness and self closure. Often in this period of crisis these groups end up separating themselves from the Church and become schismatic traditionalists (http://schis-trad.blogspot.it/2008/03/rebuttal-to-schismatic-traditionalists.html). In this “dour combat” (CCC 409) of life, there is no guarantee for anyone, in whatever vocation or group, to make it to heaven until we are in heaven or in purgatory; we must persevere in struggling for true humility until the moment of our death. St. Augustine said, 'If you should ask me what are the ways of God, I would tell you that the first is humility, the second is humility, and the third is humility. Not that there are no other precepts to give, but if humility does not precede all that we do, our efforts our meaningless.'

Just about all the independent protestant groups believe they interpret Sacred Scripture infallibly, even though there are many fundamental contradictions among themselves, while many Catholic groups feel they INTERPRET Sacred Scripture and the doctrines of the Church infallibly as if they are the Magisterium of the Church. The protestants rejected the guidance of Holy Mother Church, but a great number of Catholics today in the Church do the same. There was a great rebellion against Humanae Vitae (1968); we deserve what is happening today in the world and in the Church (http://spir-food.blogspot.it/2013/11/prophecy-st-francis.html)! Certainly today there is a great tendency in this direction, to seek security, due to the cultural crisis and especially due to the great confusion in the Church herself, when many bishops and cardinals are no longer in agreement about the immutable fundamental doctrines of the Magisterium of the Church, as foretold by Our Lady at Akita, Japan, October 13, 1973. We are truly in the period of the great apostasy before the advent of the Antichrist (2Thess 2:3) when even the elect will be deceived if possible (Mt 24:24)! Just as Christ was crucified 2000 years ago, the Body of Christ, the Church, will be crucified in this period of the purification of the Church (CCC 677)!

We must all struggle to not slide into complacency and to struggle for the truth in our lives every day until we die, else we slide automatically into the subtle traps of Satan who disguises himself as an angel of light (2Cor 11:14). In this short life, he who does not go forward goes backward! So many, including a great number of priests and bishops today, no longer have the persevering humility to answer Philip’s question, “Do you understand what you are reading?”, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” (Acts 8:30-31), by being willing to listen and dialogue with those of good will not in agreement with themselves, with the documents of the Church on the table. Saint Thomas Aquinas, quoting Saint Augustine, recalled “St. Paul made a correction to the first pope Peter and he made this publicly not privately” (Summa Theologica, Second Part, Question 33, Article 4). St. Augustine said Peter was so humble and so wise that he accepted this correction. He did not say, ‘You are Paul, you are against me. You are heretical. You are schismatic.’ No, he accepted this with gratitude and so should be the Pope in these days (the “Dubia”!?!), and so should any other person or group who has TRUE humility and charity, who are seeking the Truth that comes from outside of themselves, from God. This is because the Truth comes from God, the Author of Truth, the Truth is God (Jn 14:6). The Truth does not come from any human being and not even from the Church, the Bride of Christ, the handmaid of the Truth, the protector of the Truth.

Another way of saying what Raymond Arroyo is saying is ‘Good Catholics’ cannot follow the easier way: “Ignorance Is Bliss!” (http://spir-food.blogspot.it/2016/06/ignorance-is-bliss.html). “Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is easy, that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few” (Mt 7:13-14)! “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and BECOME LIKE CHILDREN, you will never enter the Kingdom of heaven” (Mt 18:3)!

- - - - - - -

Here is my complete post of April 16, 2018 in several groups in Facebook:

How many Catholics today could answer simple questions such as the following?
Does the Truth come from God or from the Church? Is the Church the handmaid of the Truth or the Author of the Truth? Does the Truth change with the world and the times or does the world have to change according to God’s laws and Truth? Was Christ just playing with words when he said: “I am the way, and the TRUTH, and the life” (Jn 14:6)? When Christ said, “The Truth will make you free!” (Jn 8:32), was he referring to the truth of the world or the immutable Truth of God? “Christ said “I am the truth”; He did NOT say, “I am the custom”.” – St. Toribio. “We do not need a Church that is moved by the world, but a Church that moves the world” – G.K. Chesterton.
There is less prayer than ever before, more sin than ever before, even worse, indifference as if sin no longer exists, and so we have given much greater power to “the father of lies”, Satan (Jn 8:44). In particular Satan has more power to “disguise himself as an angel of light” (2Cor 11:14), to offer his very deadly beautiful lies as if they were the “truth”, but instead does us great harm.
Thus it is very important in these times of great confusion, when even Catholic bishops are no longer in agreement about the fundamentals of our faith and morals, to not only pray much and to study the Catechism of the Catholic Church for adults (CCC, ed. 1992!!!), but to keep our eyes open so as not to fall into the beautiful lies of Satan presented as if they were the Truth, or the half truths presented as if they were the whole and integral Truth! A HALF TRUTH IS WORSE THAN A LIE!
