The Danger of the Extremes – The Case of Don MINUTELLA
Many people realize the DANGER OF THOSE ON THE LEFT, the liberals, who live as if sin does not exist because God is love and merciful, and thus “do whatever you want”, because they believe that heaven is automatic, or at least, hell does not exist! These on the left do not realize that God does not send anyone to hell, but many people do not want to be with God because they are in charge of their lives, not God. They say the Our Father, “THY will be done”, but live “MY will be done”, and thus when they die, it is they themselves who do not want to be with God, and they end up with all those who rebel against God and want to command and make war among themselves for all eternity. In heaven there is room for only one God, not two!!! In hell everyone believes to be God! “The chief punishment of hell is eternal separation from God” (CCC 1035).
BUT THOSE ON THE RIGHT SIDE ARE EQUALLY DANGEROUS and also it is perhaps more hidden the RISK to lose the foundation of all the virtues, humility, and to slide away from God. From God’s point of view, the older son is worse than the prodigal’s son (Lk 15:11-32).
With all the CONFUSION AFTER THE SECOND VATICAN COUNCIL, I went through various difficult but educational experiences. Following the advice of my parents, I spent three years, with my sister, in a cult associated with a false seer in NECEDAH, Wisconsin, USA (1980-1983), which at the end of this experience I wrote a book and a few articles which helped many to leave this cult (“The Cult At Necedah, Wisconsin”; http://necedah-cult.blogspot.com). Shortly afterwards, I lost my parents and my sister, with her husband and seven children, in a group of SEDEVACANTISTS (“A Common Sense Rebuttal to Schismatic Traditionalists and Sedevacantists”; https://josephdwight.wordpress.com/2008/02/07/rebuttal-to-schismatic-traditionalists-1/). Then I spent six years in a religious congregation, the Oblates of the Virgin Mary (OMV), which underwent a great crisis beginning in 1988 (http://nelsegnodizarri.over-blog.org/article-rev-joseph-dwight-oblates-of-the-virgin-mary-73944398.html; “The Great Responsibility Of Religious Leaders”; http://josephdwight.wordpress.com/2014/08/07/great-responsibility/; http://josephdwight.blogspot.it/2008/05/lifes-journey.html). I spent many years in the Focolare Movement as a Priest Volunteer, which more and more, by way of false ecumenism and false unity, which results in reductionism to the lowest common denominator to remain all together, to offend no one, which will end up being a great help in the formation of a One World Religion, which will be EMPTIED OF ITS DIVINE CONTENT, that is, emptied of the Truth Who is Jesus Christ (Jn 14:6), so as to be at the service of the New W0rld 0rder!
I was incardinated in the diocese of PERUGIA in June 1993, where the priests are systematically brainwashed in the modern Church of relativism (“Priests Systematically Brainwashed”; https://spir-food.blogspot.com/2019/12/priests-systematically-brainwashed.html). I lost my last parish (October 13, 2015), suddenly without speaking with me before hand, because the people in the parish were not happy to hear the Gospel explained according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church for adults (CCC; ed. 1992, promulgated by Pope John Paul II; http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/_INDEX.HTM).
I offered my priestly services to the NEOCATECUMENAL WAY at Perugia for ten years (2005-2015), until I discovered for the first time that the neocatecumens, along with their three founders, refused to obey Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI who said to them often that “it is necessary to obey faithfully and exactly the Liturgical Books of the Church” regarding the Holy Mass (“The Neocatecumenal Mass”; http://spir-food.blogspot.it/2015/02/the-neocatecumenal-mass.html). THE HOLY MASS IS A GIFT FROM GOD, not our property with which we can play with it to give us pleasure to our liking. The Eucharist is “the source and summit of the Christian life”.” (Vat. II: LG 11; CCC 1324). I said to my parishioners that it is necessary to treat the Eucharist as one must treat God in person, not as a piece of bread as do so many Catholics today who have lost the faith in the REAL PRESENCE of Jesus in the Eucharist! I believe that this movement will be a great help in leading many Catholics to accept a mass that is not valid according to the prophecy of the prophet Daniel: “abomination of desolation” (Mt 24:15), “the continual burnt offering” (Dan 8:11; 12:11) will be taken away, and the “sacrifice and offering” will cease for 1290 days (Dan 9:27), that is the HOLY MASS.
Father Alessandro Minutella has caused many Catholics to stop going to the Sacraments in this most difficult period of the great apostasy (2Thess 2:3), saying that if a priest says during the Mass the words “Pope Francis”, the Mass is not valid, which is in clear contradiction to the doctrine of the Church, the COUNCIL OF TRENT. Minutella INSTILLS DOUBT into the minds of people about the validity of the Sacraments, while assuring his followers that his Mass is valid. Minutella does not lead people to true humility, but on the contrary to an attitude of triumphalism, of arrogance, of feeling to be in a special group and the spirit of closure and to criticize all who do not think like they do. God chose Our Lady to crush the head of the serpent (Gen 3:15) at the end of this period of the “great tribulation” (Mt 24:21), not me or another priest.
Our Lady tells us by way of Don Stefano Gobbi in the “BLUE BOOK (“To The Priests Our Lady’s Beloved Sons”; http://our-lady-priests.blogspot.it/):
“To win the battle which is approaching, I want to give you a weapon: prayer. Forget everything else, and form the habit of using nothing but this weapon. The crucial times have come, and there is no longer any time for certain vain and superfluous things. There is no more time for useless discussions; there is no more time for chatter and projects: THIS IS THE TIME FOR PRAYER! (December 19, 1973).
“Already these are the times in which YOU MUST ALL RECOLLECT YOURSELVES IN A CONTINUOUS AND TRUSTING PRAYER, as was mine during the long journey made to Bethlehem. The time for projects and discussions is over.” (December 24, 1984).
“Consider how formerly you longed for success, and now it seems that even life is burdensome to you. How you used to make plans and projects for tomorrow, and now it seems that the future does not interest you at all. How often, even unconsciously, YOU HAVE SOUGHT YOURSELF.” (November 19, 1974).
“Pray often, using the Holy Rosary, which I came here also to ask of you. If the most grave problems for the Church and for the world have not yet been successfully resolved, despite all the human means which have been taken, this is a sign for you that YOU MUST NOW PUT ALL YOUR TRUST IN THE POWER OF PRAYER.” (May 13, 1982).
Each one of us must seek, with true humility, to discover and do exactly what Our Lady wants for each of us to do in Our Lady’s plan, instead of doing a type of protagonism according to what gives us amusement to our pride and glory before men.
Saint Augustine tells us: IT WAS PRIDE THAT CHANGED ANGELS INTO DEVILS; it is humility that makes men as angels. Humility is the foundation of all the other virtues. The soul in which this virtue does not exist, there cannot be any other virtue except in mere appearance. There is something in humility that strangely exalts the heart. This is the very perfection of man, to find out about his own imperfections. You must be emptied of that which you are full that you may be filled with that which you are empty. The greater the building is to be, the deeper you dig the foundation. For once your foundation is set, the height to which you can build has been determined. You want a tower that will pierce the clouds, lay first the foundation of humility. Humility must accompany all of our actions. For as soon as we glory in our good works, they are of no further value for our advancement in virtue.”
Even if we believe that we know who are “the bad guys” and we believe that we understand the truth, without humility, THERE ARE NO VIRTUES BEFORE GOD, and there is spiritual blindness and we end up being instruments of ourselves but not of God! I know several people who consume much time in reading the works of the followers of Satan, but not the lives of the saints canonized by the Church. I see that these people have less and less interior peace.
Our Lady by way of Don Stefano Gobbi in the “Blue Book”, referring to the Marian Movement for Priests: “Let there be NO LEADER among you. I myself will be your Leader. You must all be brothers: loving, understanding and helping each other” (Our Lady to Don Stefano Gobbi, July 16, 1973). “Therefore there should be NO LEADER among you: you are all brothers, united in love that must grow ever more and more” (Our Lady to Don Stefano Gobbi, August 22, 1976). But without a certain human and spiritual maturity, it is very difficult to live these words of Our Lady.
Very soon after the death of Don Stefano Gobbi (June 2011), certain people wanted to take charge of the Marian Movement for Priests, and thus there was born a PROFOUND DIVISION in the movement. These new “responsibles” prohibited everyone to speak freely about the whole truth and about the real facts in the Church, in particular, the very negative fruits coming from the Vatican since March 2013. In Minutella’s group, it is the opposite – one cannot even mention the words “Pope Francis” in the liturgy of the Mass. The priest, who was closest to Don Stefano Gobbi in those years was Padre Quartilio Gabrielli, who insisted, after the death of Gobbi, that there is no need for a structure of the Movement, as Our Lady told us in the Blue Book, but small groups everywhere which pray in cenacles of Eucharistic adoration with the Rosary and meditations on the words of Our Lady in the Blue Book (“Only a Remnant of the MMP Will Remain”; http://spir-food.blogspot.com/2018/08/only-remnant-of-mmp-will-remain.html). Don Stefano Gobbi, who knew this well, did not provide for any structure for the Movement before he died. Don Stefano Gobbi, an instrument of Our Lady in founding the Marian Movement of Priests, prophetically predicted in his meditation (2003) on Gideon's battle against the Madianites (Judges ch7), “only a remnant of the Movement will be ready for the heroic climb of Calvary up to the end, but with this remnant Our Lady will obtain her triumph.” This article (“Only a Remnant of the MMP Will Remain”) offers some insight into what Our Lady revealed to Don Stefano Gobbi: “This will in fact be a time of great falls on the part of my beloved sons, my Priests.”
Pope John Paul II spoke and wrote often about the importance of dialogue among Christians and above all among priests, in order to seek the truth and the solutions together. One finds often in the Blue Book the insistence of Our Lady to become “little”, “smallness”, which also means to seek the truth and the solutions outside of our own heads, from God. Our Lady tells us by way of Don Stefano Gobbi: "I have chosen you precisely because of your LITTLENESS, your poverty. Jesus looks with pleasure and with predilection ONLY ON THE SMALL, the pure of heart, the simple.” (September 12, 1975). “He (Jesus) knows that ONLY THE LITTLE and pure of heart know how to listen with docility to his words and to put them into practice. He gathers into the precious garden of his divine love the humble, the poor, the simple, the weak. He sees Himself ever followed with faithfulness by my little children, who are poor in spirit and in goods, and with them He is forming his disciples, who again today will remain with Him even to the end.” (September 8, 1997).
THERE IS A GREAT DIFFERENCE, and different effects, between what Minutella says and what Our Lady says by way of Don Stefano Gobbi, in the Blue Book, which leads to true humility and trustful spiritual childhood, and to suffer more and more with Jesus on the cross and with our sorrowful Mother at the foot of the cross, for a TRUE PERSONAL PREPARATION and for the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in this period. Mary did not shout condemnations at those who crucified her Son Jesus, nor did she form a new special group. “Queen of martyrs, pray for us”! I too am convinced that Pope Benedict was forced to go away and that the last conclave was not canonically valid (“Pope Benedict XVI Forced To Resign”; http://spir-food.blogspot.it/2017/01/pope-benedict-xvi-force-to-resign.html). But it is very important to do as did all the true saints in the history of the Church when there were great crisis, otherwise there will not be true lasting fruits which are part of the plan of our Queen and of our Leader, of our General with twelve stars (Rev 12:1), chosen by God for this period of the “great tribulation” (Mt 24:21) and of the great apostasy (2Thess 2:3)!
The “Prophecy of Saint Francis” (Assisi) tells us that we deserve what is happening today:
“2. The power of the demons will be greater than usual, the immaculate purity of our religious community and of others, will withered to the point that VERY FEW Christians will want to obey the true Sovereign Pontiff and the Roman Church with a sincere heart and perfect charity. At the decisive moment of this crisis, a personage not canonically elected, raised to the Pontificate, will endeavor to administer shrewdly to many the mortal poison of his error.
7. Some preachers will keep silent about the truth and, denying the truth, they will trample upon the truth. The sanctity of life will be held in derision by those who only profess it outwardly, and for this reason Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a worthy Pastor, but a destroyer.”
If Father Minutella does as Our Lady says in the Blue Book, and everywhere Our Lady appears such as at Fatima, HE WOULD LOSE MANY OF HIS FOLLOWERS who prefer to hear a priest that continually criticizes the followers of Satan instead of a priest who speaks often about the lives of the followers of Jesus, the saints, with true humility and total trust in the Heavenly Mother and to suffer in silence with Jesus and Mary at the foot of the cross, in this period of the crucifixion of the Body of Christ, the Church (CCC 675-677). Our human nature leads us to criticize others but not ourselves! It is true that it is very important for a priest to warn the souls of the numerous traps of Satan today. BUT TO DO MORE THAN THIS, AND FOR THE WRONG AND UNVIRTOUS REASONS , DOES HARM TO THE SOULS. To criticize continuously the guilty people in the Church does not help souls to imitate Jesus, Mary and all the saints, but rather leads people toward a sectarian mentality and pride.
EVERYONE WANTS TO POINT THE FINGER, both in the civil world and in the Catholic Church. What can good popes, such as Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI, do if the great majority of bishops and priests do not obey or are at least cowards to stand up for the truth? There is a great tendency to point the finger on high (in particular in traditional schismatic groups), such as popes or the Second Vatican Council, but not to look in the mirror to find the cause of the great apostasy before the manifestation of the Antichrist (2Thess 2:3). But Our Lady of Fatima reminded us that wars are caused by our personal sins and stubbornness to not trust and obey our loving Father in heaven Who gave us the Ten Commandments for our true good, not for our harm!!!
At least two people on Facebook, after having seen some of my articles, wrote to me to “go out and work” with Minutella’s group, insinuating that if I do not work with Minutella’s group, I am not doing anything worthwhile as a priest! Having convinced so many among his followers, about 40 to 50 thousand Italians, that most Masses are invalid outside of his group, Minutella needs priests for his special group, as do many traditional schismatics groups (“A Common Sense Rebuttal to Schismatic Traditionalists and Sedevacantists”; https://josephdwight.wordpress.com/2008/02/07/rebuttal-to-schismatic-traditionalists-1/; “The Great Difficulty In Overcoming Pharisaism - The Difference Between Schismatic Traditionalism and the False Pope Prophecies”; http://schis-trad.blogspot.it/2016/05/overcoming-pharisaism.html)! IN PRACTICE, MINUTELLA IS THE POPE OF HIS GROUP, as if the priest who can speak well on YouTube, is the criteria for being the infallible head of the group. I do not see any indication that Minutella is willing to dialogue with anyone who is not in agreement with himself, which is exactly what Bergoglio does (eg.: the four cardinals who wrote the the “Dubia”, November 2016)! I sense a certain attitude of revenge on the part of Minutella due to how he was treated in his dioceses. I too lost my parish (“A Letter to My Bishop”; https://spir-food.blogspot.com/2019/02/a-letter-to-my-bishop.html).
Today there are many people on the left side and the right side who continually criticize other people, but rarely do they say, as does Our Lady, to PRAY WITH THE HEART FOR THEM. And almost invariably, these people do not want anyone to criticize themselves! Are these people following Christ crucified and humiliated or are they following who??? The cultural, historical, economical and psychological crisis today facilitates a closed attitude and the sectarian mentality, while seeking security. The prophecy of Saint Francis of Assisi tells us that this lack of security is part of our punishment from God!
BUT IF THE LEADER, MINUTELLA IN THIS CASE, IS A TRUE SAINT, this leader would not seek followers for himself, thus a holy leader could help his followers to progress toward true maturity like the true saints who did not have the closed sectarian mentality. I know some people who even pray the Rosary every day, and even the Mass every day, but they do not indicate that they have a true personal relationship with Jesus crucified and humiliated! It seems that their relationship with Jesus is similar to the relationship between the father and the older son in the parable of the prodigal’s son (Lk 15:11-32). It seems that their attitude toward sinners, also those with great responsibility in the Church, is not like the father of the prodigal’s son! It does NOT seem that their true hidden motive in criticizing and judging others is like that “of your Father who is in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust (Mt 5:45)!?! Question: Are these people seeking to imitate Jesus and thus to improve themselves, or to straighten out everyone else?
Our supreme model in this period is JESUS TOTALLY HUMILIATED AND CRUCIFIED, which is the supreme way to true sanctity and to the purification of the Body of Christ, the Church! But we do not want to suffer and we do not want to be humiliated like Jesus and like all the true saints. Instead we want to feel we are better than others in a special group in our disguised pride and in our insecurity and fear in this period of cultural, historical, economical and psychological crisis and in the great confusion and satanic deception today (Mt 24:24; 2Thess 2:11-12; Dan 12:8-10) which is part of our punishment and purification from God! Without true humility, there is always spiritual blindness without realizing it, even if we believe that we are right and very intelligent!
In the classic book for our times, “TRUE DEVOTION TO MARY”, Saint Louis de Montfort clearly describes the criteria to be in the cohort of Our Lady or to be in the cohort of Satan: true humility with Mary, or false humility and pride with Satan. Those who do not let God have the last word in their lives and who are in charge of their lives in their own subjectivism and relativism are in the cohort of Satan. Our Lady, in the Blue Book, indicated two times (November 22, 1992; March 11, 1995), that the PROPHECY OF THE PROPHET ZACHARIAH is for our times: “`An oracle of the Lord: I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be completely scattered; and then I will turn my hand against the little ones. `An oracle of the Lord: In all the land, two thirds of them will be cut off and perish; and one third shall be left. `I will pass this third through fire; I will refine it as silver is refined, test it as gold is tested. `It will call upon my Name, and I will hear it; I will say:"This is my people.” And it will say: “The Lord is my God.” ‘ (cf. Zec 13:7-9).
It is interesting how THE TWO EXTREMES MEET: the left, like Bergoglio, and also the right, like many groups against Bergoglio. The people in these two extremes are not willing to dialogue, even with those of good will, who are not in agreement with themselves, or with the head of their group. The persecuted believe to be on God’s side because they are persecuted by the “bad guys”. But the Roman Empire, after the death of Jesus, was converted to Christianity non by the poor persecuted who harbored in their hearts resentment and revenge against the Romans, BUT BY THE FEW TRUE CHRISTIANS WHO TRULY LOVED THEIR ENEMIES, their persecutors even during martyrdom, as did Jesus on the cross (Lk 23:34)! Saint Thomas Aquinas tells us that virtue, guided by prudence, is found between the two extremes, where one suffers much to maintain this holy prudence and humility and true love.
St. Thomas Aquinas quoting from St. Augustine, in his commentary on the right of subjects to resist flaky superiors, recalled that in St. Paul’s Letter to the Galatians, St. Paul rebuked the first pope, St. Peter, “to his face because he clearly was wrong” (Gal 2:11-14). There being an imminent danger for the Faith, prelates must be questioned, even publicly, by their subjects. Thus, St. Paul, who was a subject of St. Peter, questioned him publicly on account of an imminent danger of scandal in a matter of Faith. And, as the Glossa of St. Augustine puts it (Ad Galatas 2.14), “St. Peter himself gave the example to those who govern so that if sometimes they stray from the right way, they will not reject a correction as unworthy even if it comes from their subjects.” (Summa Theologiae, IIa IIae, Q. 33, A. 4).
The Truth comes from God, and not from the Church, and thus no priest, bishop or pope can change the Truth of Divine Revelation which is well summarized in the Catechism of the Catholic Church for adults (CCC). But it happens often that those who believe to have the truth have little humility and thus “the father of lies”, Satan (Jn 8:44) deceives these in a sly and hidden way.
If I realize and believe that the truth comes from God not from me, and I have a little virtue, especially humility, I should be willing to listen to someone who says to me that what I wrote or said or did was not in harmony with what God has revealed to us throughout human history (called Divine Revelation), while quoting documents of the Church and the writings of the saints. This is true not only regarding doctrinal and moral truths, but also regarding true sanctity which must always be accompanied with true humility so as to lead also others to true humility by our example. Without humility, there is no virtue, and we greatly risk losing any possible good fruits even though we might be in the right regarding the truth. But if I believe or feel that the truth comes from me, I will not be willing to dialogue with anyone not in agreement with me, as have done all the dictators in the history of the world, and all those who do not have true humility and who have slid into subjectivism and relativism. By throwing out humility and the precious laws of God, we quickly go toward “might makes right” as it is in hell!
The fundamental solution is that each of us fill our head and our souls with things that help us to become great saints quickly because we have little time!!! Basically, as Our Lady often tells us, pray and sacrifices. I would highly recommend that you READ SLOWLY ONE MEDITATION FROM THE BLUE BOOK EACH DAY so as to let Our Heavenly Mother form and prepare you for this period of the purification of the Church and of the World.
A friend of mine who follows Father Minutella e who invited me to a couple of meeting of their group, after having read this, wrote to me: “OK, but of course it is not a good premise if you want to meet together” (that I might meet with Don Minutella). But if Don Minutella has a little personal sanctity he would be happy to read this, just as St John Vianney was happy when other priests criticized the saint.
I found on the WEB a few years ago that Don Stefano Gobbi (died June 2011) said privately in 2010 in the USA: “Pray for the next pope, but DO NOT LISTEN TO HIM”! This is how the true saints speak, such as Don Stefano Gobbi. Our Lady says in the Blue Book several times to not judge (subjectively) anyone.
